Chelo Velasco

Consuelo Velasco was the founding Program Manager of the MFA in Public Practice program at Otis College of Art and Design. She served as both the Program Coordinator, and Faculty in the program. Prior to this, Velasco was employed by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Metro Art, to develop public art for the Expo Light Rail line. Her MA in Public Art Studies for the University of Southern California (USC) was focused in arts administration, digital media, and art in rural contexts. She is presently pursuing a second masters, for an MFA in Graphic Design at Otis. Additionally, she serves a Board Member of the Vincent Price Art Museum.
